Peterborough
Tell us about you! I love looking after my family and seeing to their needs, making sure they have a cooked dinner and clean house to come home to. I am a social butterfly and enjoy socialising with my friends. I am very good at making people feel happy and appreciated. I look at life in a positive light and this helps me appreciate even the little things in life.
I have had a lot of experience caring for the elderly and those with illness.
At the age of 17, I looked after my mother for a year, she unfortunately had lung cancer and passed away. I then decided to become an Au'pair, so I was attending to children full time.
I went to college when I was 22 and qualified in Nursery nursing, I started childminding in the 90's and did so for 20 years, it was extremely rewarding.
I was then asked by a friend if I would care for her elderly mother, Edna, who was 99 living with dementia and was blind. I looked after Edna till she sadly passed away. This is when I was asked by 2 other families to look after their parents. I did this for 3 years when unfortunately my daughter took ill and needed a carer. So I became my daughters’ full time carer.
I love the elderly, have a caring and loving personality and genuinely enjoy looking after people and making them happy.
